Upton

Robyn Pryor Schappaugh passed away peacefully and in no pain, on Sunday, October 24, 2021. Robyn was born on January 13, 1953 in Pekin, Illinois to Lorene Timke Schappaugh and Earl Pryor Schappaugh.  He grew up loving the rural life of his family's farms,  He shared a great many memories of his childhood down on the farm with family and friends.  When Robyn graduated from Pekin High School, he found his way into the construction trades.  He pursued those trades on many levels, and became a Master welder, machinist, and process equipment mechanic, spending many years at Kodak Colorado, from where he retired.  When he did retire, he pursued his love of the rural life by relocating to his dream farm in Northeast Wyoming with his wife Judy, and their flock of sheep.  Robyn was actively involved with the Upton Gun Club in his new hometown.  He enjoyed engaging with young shooters, and honing his own skills.  Robyn loved tinkering on his farm, working on his many projects, and riding his bike exploring the Black Hills.  Robyn was an avid outdoorsman and shooter, friend and father figure to all he met, and a lover of the wind in his hair on his Harley.  Robyn leaves behind his beloved wife Judy; two sisters, Kathy and Greta; daughters, Jo Ann and Jamie; his stepchildren Jessica and Michael and his 6 grandchildren; Devin, Jackie, Kaydence, Blake, JR, and Helen.  His loss will be felt by many lifelong friends who he loved as his own family.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Upton Young Guns, c/o Judy Schappaugh,  P.O. Box 910, Upton, WY, 82730.  Arrangements will be held privately for his family.
