Aldon Hoxie

Memorial service for Aldon Hoxie will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 15, 2019 at United Methodist Church in Upton, WY. Aldon Hoxie passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2019 at Weston County Health Services. Aldon Lloyd Hoxie was born on January 12, 1948 in Leadville, CO to Dorothy (Sims) and John Hoxie. He graduated from Upton High School in 1966 and went onto attend Casper College. He worked for Materi Exploration as a driller; Dixon Brothers Trucking as a terminal manager; and also, Lincoln County School District in Kemmerer, WY as an activities bus driver from which he retired. Aldon was always active in his local church, he was also active in the Weston County Senior Center and with all the activities at the Manor. He enjoyed cooking, singing, writing poetry and music, and playing card games. He truly enjoyed his time with his family. He was also a world traveler for a few years. Aldon is survived by his sons, Walker (Stacie) Hoxie of Upton, WY and Asher (Rebecca) Hoxie of Stephenville, TX; daughter, Miriah Hoxie (Josh Eden) of Big Piney, WY; grandchildren, J.P., Zane, Quentin, Amber and Megan, Conner, Justin, and Tay; brothers, John Hoxie of Anchor Point, AK; Tom Pringle of Cheyenne, WY; sister, Sherry Leinen of Newcastle, WY. He is preceded in death by sister, Thelma “Tootsie” Hollingsworth; mother, Dorthy Lucille Pringle; ex-wife, Katie Kramer; sister, Patty Hoxie; and father, John “Tiny” Hoxie.
