Resided in Utica, MI Warren passed away peacefully at home on January 25, 2014. Beloved husband of Nancy nee Mills. Loving and devoted father of Michael Betsy, Mary Mark, Julie Frank, and Edwin. Dear brother of Janet Gary Tacia and Tom Darlene. Devoted son of the late Warren and Erma. Proud grandfather of Kelly Derek, Jason, Jamie Matt, Megan, Brandon, Alyssa, and Stephanie. Great grandfather of Nathan. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends. Warren Carlen was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1938 and lived in Utica, Michigan throughout his childhood. He was a member of the first graduating class of the new Utica High School in 1956. Warren joined the Army, after high school graduation, and completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. Warren married his childhood sweetheart, Nancy Mills, in 1957. They were married for 56 years and raised their family in Utica, Michigan. Warren was the plant manager at Rochester Precision for many years and was specialized in automated precision machining, where he developed friendship and respect from many of his colleagues over the years. After many years of employment, he spent his retirement years enjoying time with his family and tinkering on his log cabin. Warren was a sports fan and devoted to coaching his sons' amateur hockey and baseball teams. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Please share a memory at www.sullivanfuneraldirectors.com.
