Viola Rock

Viola E. Rock, age 87, a resident of Troy, passed away September 17, 2014 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born November 11, 1926 in Detroit to the late Orville and Belle Casey. Viola was a high school graduate who enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an independent, strong-willed person. Viola Casey married Charles Rock and enjoyed 56 years of marriage. Charles passed away October 9, 1993. Viola was the beloved wife of the late Charles. Loving mother of Michael Neena MarieRock, Patricia Ingram, Sandy Bill Meshekey, Barbara Howery and the late Danny Rock. Dearest grandmother of Jeni Jeff Hughes, Wendy Paul Brazelle, Melanie Chris Smith, Doug Mallory Rock, Billy Meshekey and Tiffany Franklin. Great-grandmother of Baylie, Carlie, and Grayson Brazelle; Emma and Ethan Hughes; KayLynn and Evan Smith; Arri Rock and Jaydyn and Niaya Franklin. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Central Church, 1529 E. 12 Mile Road, in Madison Heights, with Pastor Sam Anderson officiating. Inurnment of ashes will take place at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy at a later date. Memorials to the donor's choice of charity are appreciated.
