Thomas Bibik

Thomas Bibik, age 66, a resident of Ferndale, formerly of Detroit, died January 5, 2014 at his home. He was born February 20, 1947 in Detroit to the late Joseph and Clara. Mr. Bibik was employed in several lines of work including, plant protection, military police, salesman, store manager, car salesman, house husband and as an independent contractor. He also enjoyed various hobbies including, golf, photography, Caribbean music and artwork, fishing, casinos and "going to the lake", but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Sharon Bibik, whom he married August 2, 1968 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Detroit; his children, Jason Paula Bibik of Sterling Heights, Laura Dave Kurkowski of Kalamazoo and Emily Bibik of Royal Oak; siblings, Cindy of St. Louis, MO, Jim of California, Paulette of Pontiac, MI, Su of Portage, MI, Meri of Cartersville, GA and Ann of Bryan, OH; and grandchildren, Brady, Marek and Addison Bibik and Logan Kurkowski. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mackie and Toni. There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Memorials to the Hospice of Michigan are appreciated.
