Theodor Gruits

Theodor D. Gruits, age 66, a resident of Kirkwood, MO died August 10, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born January 19, 1943 in Detroit. Mr. Gruits was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the F&M Drug Emporium retail and worked for several other retail stores over his lifetime. He was an extremely dedicated husband, father and grandfather who lived for his family. He was also a custom car buff. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betti" A. Gruits; children, Kelly Jasinski of Grosse Pointe and Tracy Gruits of St. Louis; and granddaughter, Hailey Jasinski. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Mary Gruits. Visitation will be Friday 2-8 p.m. and the service Saturday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
