Sr. Anna Weiss

Sr. Anna Weiss Sr. Mary of the Holy Child, age 90, died September 19, 2012.
Dear sister of Urban Weiss and Mary Anne Weiss-Henry. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews, great- and great-great nieces and nephews. Sister entered the Monastery in Newark, New Jersey and pledged her first Profession of Religious Vows on September 12, 1947 and took her Solemn Vows on September 12, 1950. She transferred to the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament on November 29, 2003 when the Newark monastery closed. Sister will lie in state Thursday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., with a wake service beginning at 4:10 p.m., and on Friday 8 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament, 29575 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills. The Funeral Mass will be Friday 11 a.m. at the Monastery, with Fr. David Santoro, O.P. officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Monastery of the Blessed Sacrament are appreciated.
