Shirley Boyle

Shirley E. Boyle, age 93, a resident of Madison Heights since 2006, formerly of Royal Oak, passed away January 14, 2014 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born January 16, 1920 in Highland Park to the late Frank and Eunice Ellis. Mrs. Boyle was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed hiking when she was younger. She is survived by her longtime companion, Boris Mataija; son, John P. Boyle; brothers, Frank Jean Ellis and Donald Lena Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Boyle, on April 9, 1975. The visitation will be Friday 11 a.m. until the time of service 1:30 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
