Sheryl (Sherry) Annette Klinker, age 65, passed away the morning of April 25, 2023 at Weston County Health Services in Newcastle, Wyoming.

Sherry was born May 4, 1957 in Denver, CO to Calvin Duaine Ackley and Myrna Lorraine Mae Ackley (Craig).

Sherry attended Gertrude Burns School in Newcastle, WY up to the third grade.  The family relocated to Houston, TX so her father could attend college and become an ordained minister.  Sherry relocated with family to Chico, CA where she graduated from high school. After her father died, she and her mother moved to Portland, OR where she attended college for a year.  Sherry met and married her first husband John Petrovitz. They lived in San Francisco, CA and later divorced. She moved to Kalispell, MT where she worked at the Sheriff’s office. Sherry married her second husband Mark Wilson and divorced.  Relocating to Newcastle, WY in 2001 she worked at various places including City of Newcastle Police Department, First State Bank, Weston County Assessor office, and her best-liked job as pharmacy technician at Pamida and Weston County Pharmacy.  She retired in 2022.

Sherry met Richard Klinker in 2002 and married him in October 2005.  The couple were happily married until her death.

Sherry loved animals and was a mom to a miniature pinscher, two chihuahuas and a cat.  They were always on her lap.  Sherry also loved bugs, especially dragonflies.  She had a green Volkswagen with license plate “BUGS”. She liked to crochet and was a voracious reader. Sherry’s bright personality endeared her to all who met her.

Sherry is survived by her husband Richard Klinker, mother Myrna Kaiser, brothers Steve (Heidi) Ackley and Dennis (Melody) Ackley, nephews Dan

(Michelle) Ackley and Joe (Rachel) Ackley, niece Angela Ackley, nephews Taylor (Alison) Ackley, Connor (Caty) Ackley, and Dalton (Kara) Ackley, great nephews and nieces, uncle John Edward Toth, uncle James Toth, aunt Kathy (Jim) Dixon, stepchildren Brian Klinker, Heath Klinker, Kari

(Jerome) Zimmerman, Jesse Liles, and grandson Oliver Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by her father Calvin Ackley and niece Kristen Ackley.

A memorial service will be held May 3, 2023 at Christ the King Lutheran Church (Newcastle, WY) at 1:00pm with Pastor Robb Carr officiating followed by a reception at the church.
