Meschke, Robert E. Age 90. October 3, 2013.
Preceded in death by his beloved Jane. Dear father of Margaret Max Moore and David Susan Meschke. Adored grandfather of Chad Moore and Michael Moore. Mr. Meschke graduated from the University of Michigan with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration - Go Blue! - and retired from Ford Motor Co. A lifelong resident of Royal Oak, he served on the Planning Commission and School Board. He was a staunch Republican and worked on many campaigns. A proud veteran of WWII, he served in the Air Force in the South Pacific. Mr. Meschke will be remembered and missed by many lifelong friends and relatives. Visitation Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 3-7 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak. Funeral Monday, October 14, 2013, in state 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 529 Hendrie Blvd., Royal Oak. Interment at Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte.
