Richard Lawson

Richard James Lawson, age 69, a resident of Ferndale, passed away November 24, 2013 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born September 21, 1944 in Highland Park to the late Mancel and Caroline Lawson. Beloved husband of Dessie for 49 years; loving father of Richard Lawson Jr., Larry Tracy Lawson, Gary Lynne Lawson, Robyn fiancé Lance Lawson and Rachael Lawson; proud grandfather of Alex, Ricky III, Abigail, Hannah, Allison, Jackson and Easton; great grandfather of Owen; dear brother of Sharon Bob Weaver, Gloria Joe Vestrand, Shari Lawson and the late Alpoc Lawson; son-in-law of Violet Pendleton and the late Lloyd Pendleton; and brother-in-law of Robert Pendleton, Deborah Jim Kaufman, Penny Prieskorn and Allen Pendleton. The visitation will be Friday 1-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. In-State Saturday 9am until time of funeral, 10 am at Woodside Bible Church, 6600 Rochester Rd., Troy.
