Petra Snel

Petra Lynne Snel, age 43, a resident of Huntington Woods for the last two years, formerly of Ferndale and Royal Oak, passed away December 31, 2013 at her home. She was born October 31, 1970 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Petra received her bachelor's degree from Queens University and her MBA from the University of Windsor. She was employed as a finance manager at Ford of Canada and the last six years at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn. She was the beloved wife of Richard D. Lagerstrom; the couple married June 21, 2008 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Loving mother of Joan Mary Lagerstrom. Cherished daughter of Rudy Wanda Noel Snel and Lynda Ed Turner. Granddaughter of William the late Mary Fridgen. Daughter-in-law of Denise the late Richard Lagerstrom. Dear sister of Stephen Tanya Turner, Phillip Annette Snel, Jordan Snel and Nicolas Snel. Also survived by one niece, two nephews, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. The visitation will be Monday 2-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Petra will lie in state Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Steven Wertanen officiating.
