Patt Earl Lynch
Patt Earl Lynch, 86, of Newcastle, Wyoming, entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2026.
Patt was born on January 9, 1940, to Earl and Minnie Lynch in Newcastle, Wyoming. He was raised on the family homestead west of Newcastle. He spent his early years attending a one-room schoolhouse through the eighth grade before graduating from Newcastle High School in 1958. Following graduation, he pursued his education in auto mechanics, earning his degree and developing skills that would serve him throughout his life.
During his time in Casper, Wyoming, Patt met the love of his life, Karen Maki. It didn't take long for that cowboy to sweep her off her feet, and the two were married in 1961. Soon after their marriage, Patt was drafted into the United States Army and stationed in Germany. Karen joined him there, and together they began building their life as a family. While stationed overseas, they welcomed their son, Troy Lynch, who was born on the military base in January 1964.
Upon returning to the United States, Patt and Karen settled on the Lynch family ranch, where they built a life together and remained for the rest of their days. The ranch was more than a home; it was a place filled with family, hard work, friendships, and countless cherished memories.
Patt treasured time spent fishing in Westport, one of his greatest joys. He loved bringing home fresh fish to share with neighbors and friends, and those gatherings often turned into memorable fish fry's filled with laughter, good stories, and fellowship. He also enjoyed branding season, card games, and sharing laughs with his dear friends and neighbors. Patt's warm spirit, sense of humor, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Patt is survived by his son, Troy Lynch and wife Janeice; his grandson, Tyler Lynch and wife Keshia Lynch; his beloved great-grandchildren, Trenton Lynch and Paisley Lynch; his sister, Jill Anderson and husband Jim; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and cherished friends.
Patt was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Lynch; his parents, Earl and Minnie Lynch; his brother, Byrd Lynch and his grandson, Travis Lynch.
As the sun sets behind the hills and the cattle drift home for the evening, we take comfort in knowing that Patt has saddled up for his final ride and has been reunited with Karen and those who have gone before him. His trail here may be finished, but the tracks he left on the land and in the lives of those he loved will remain for generations to come.
