Olive Marie Wise Blazina Olive passed away peacefully on January 13, 2014. Beloved mother to Norman Susan Wise and Gene Wise. Predeceased by her hero and husband, Howard Wise; her beautiful daughter, Elizabeth Flosky; her parents, Mathew and Juliana Blazina; siblings, Mathew, Antoinette, Stanley, Annie and Julia; and her daughter-in-law, Joanne Madison Wise. She is a cherished grandmother to Olivia Wise, Adrian Santos, Stacey Jim Jennings, Stephanie Jim Kozak, Jeannine Wise and Michelle Zach Volmering. Great-grandmother to Tyler, Jaren, Joseph, Jackson, Kiley, Matthew, Zora and Charlotte. Best friend and dearly loved caregiver, Yvonne Babcock. Son-in-law Joseph Flosky and dear friend Joanne Wadsworth Wise. Olive was born in Benoit, Wisconsin on June 13, 1918 and moved to Detroit in the late 1930's. She worked as a cook and nanny before meeting and marrying her Howard. They enjoyed fishing, farming, reading the newspapers, supporting the Detroit Tigers and were devoted to their family. Olive was always there when someone needed help and touched many lives. She was a true example of giving unconditional love. Visitation will be on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 3-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home at 705 W 11 Mile Rd., Royal Oak, MI 48067. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, MI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society www.lls.org or to a charity of your choice.
