Mrs. Sandra Hepker

February 1, 1939 — August 18, 2014

Sandra Maxine Hepker, 75, of Newcastle, Wyoming, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, August 18, 2014.
Sandra was born on February 1, 1939 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Walter and Maxine (Kellogg) Cooper. She went to high school in Urbana, Iowa where she excelled in basketball.
On September 1, 1956 she married Theron "Swede" Boyd Hepker Sr. in Iowa. They lived in the Cedar Rapids area until 1973 when they moved to Osage, Wyoming. Throughout the years she had numerous jobs, most notably tax preparation and being a mother to four children.
She was an active member of Osage Community Bible Church for many years. She helped with youth group and Vacation Bible School.
She enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She was feisty, outgoing, caring and "sharp as a tack".k
She is survived by her children Theron (Jean) Hepker of Wright, Wyoming, Debra Tanner of Newcastle, Eric (Kathy) Hepker of Newcastle, and Brent (Ann) Hepker of Onida, South Dakota, her sister Linda (J.B.) Surrett of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, her brother Gary (Connie) Cooper of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two on the way and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Swede, her parents, her sister Judy Boyles, her brother Richard Cooper, and her son-in-law Sam Tanner.
A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Osage Community Bible Church in Osage, Wyoming with Pastor Zack Davis officiating. Burial will be at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota. Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle is assisting the family with the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in memory of Sandra to the missionary fund of Osage Community Bible Church.
