Martin Schroat

Martin N. Schroat, age 82, passed away on December 3, 2013. He was born on October 6, 1931 in Mercedes, TX. Beloved husband of Loretta. Loving father of Dave, Donald, Steven Schroat and Linda Letosky. Proud grandfather of 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Brother of Marylou Christian. Martin and Loretta were married at Resurrection church in Detroit, MI on November 22, 1951. Martin was employed by Chrysler Engineering for 30 years as a supervisor, retiring in 1986. He was a member and former president 1978-1979 of the Players Club of Detroit. He loved sailing and participated in a number of Mackinac races. Visitation will take place at the Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road 3 Blks E. of Van Dyke Utica, Friday December 7, from 6pm-8pm Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 1pm, at the funeral home
