Margaret D'Angelo, age 83, a resident of Royal Oak, passed away March 2, 2014 in Deerfield Beach, FL. She was born May 29, 1930 in Nova Scotia, Canada to the late Neil and Margaret MacIsaac. Mrs. D'Angelo graduated on October 6, 1952 from St. Joseph Nursing School in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. She worked at Metropolitan Hospital in Windsor, Ontario, Canada from 1952-1953. She then became a registered nurse in the United States on April 9, 1956 and a United States citizen on April 21, 1959. She worked at Cottage Hospital in Detroit from 1954-1955 and then William Beaumont Hospital from 1955-1959. She was the beloved wife of Albert D'Angelo; the couple married June 25, 1955 at St. Edward Church in Detroit; loving mother of Denise Steven Weiss of Royal Oak, David Linda D'Angelo of Troy, Linda Edward Cyrocki of Troy and Ron Scott Newman D'Angelo of New York; and proud grandmother of Stefanie Weiss, Derrick Weiss, Kurt Weiss, Jenna Cyrocki, Michael Cyrocki, Haley Cyrocki, Ryan D'Angelo and Mark D'Angelo. She was preceded in death by her siblings, David MacIsaac of Boston, Clement MacIsaac of Boston, Sister Justina MacIsaac of Nova Scotia, Canada, Ann MacIsaac of Nova Scotia, Canada, Mary MacIsaac of Boston and Theresa MacIsaac of Boston. The visitation will be Monday 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. D'Angelo will lie in state Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak, with the Rev. Patrick Gonyeau officiating. Entombment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Shrine of the Little Flower, American Heart Association or American Lung Association are appreciated.
