Josephine A. Karch, age 90, a resident of Royal Oak, died September 17, 2012 at the American House in Sterling Heights. She was born December 17, 1921 in Belgium to the late Joseph and Leonie Kerfs. Mrs. Karch was a member of the American Sewing Guild and the First Congregational Church of Royal Oak. She is survived by her daughters, JoAnne Andrew Salatrik and Jeanne White; brother, Leon Kerfs; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Karch, on September 7, 2006; and son-in-law, Jonathan White. The visitation will be Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Karch will lie in state Friday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Royal Oak, with the Rev. John Miller officiating.
