Joseph Krieger Sr

Joseph S. Krieger Sr., age 84, a resident of Troy since 1959, died September 10, 2013 at his home. He was born March 14, 1929 in New York, NY to the late Stephen and Mary Krieger. Mr. Krieger was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He retired in 1990 from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed bowling and golfing. He is survived by his sons, John Gail Krieger, Joseph Krieger Jr. and Jeffrey Ilyn Krieger; siblings, Eileen John Daly and James Melanie Krieger; grandchildren, Jody, John, Jamie, Jeremy, Justin, Holly and Jeffrey; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Jackson, Kaylie, Teagan, Taner and Weston. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Audrey Krieger, on January 31, 2013. The visitation will be Thursday 4-8 p.m. and Friday 1-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. There will be a scripture service Friday 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Krieger will lie in state Monday 10 a.m. until the time of Mass 10:30 a.m. at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson. Burial at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak.
