John P. Morisette, age 91, an 11-year resident of Shelby Township, formerly a 43-year resident of Ferndale and Royal Oak, died May 5, 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born January 24, 1920 in Hubbell, MI. Mr. Morisette owned and operated Gary Tool of Madison Heights in the 1960?s. He also managed several other tool shops in the area. He loved to play pool and was a member of the Grosse Pointe Senior Citizens League at Snookers in Eastpointe. He attended Southeastern High School in Detroit. He is survived by his children, Gary Glenda Morisette of Shelby Township, Victoria James McCarthy of Rochester Hills, Christopher Cindy Morisette of Royal Oak, Grant Patti Morisette of Novi and Bradley Rebecca Morisette of Macomb Township; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah E. ?Sally? Morisette, on March 23, 2009; son, John Morisette; and 12 brothers and sisters. The visitation will be Sunday 1-9 p.m. and service Monday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Paul Chateau officiating. The burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley. Memorials to the American Lung Association of Michigan or American Heart Association are appreciated.
