Joan McPherson

Joan McPherson, age 77, a resident of Royal Oak for the past 11 years, formerly of Berkley, died April 12, 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born November 24, 1933 in Blackwater, VA to the late Doyle and Mary Ellen McPherson. Loving sister of Birdie Arnold Garrett of Pentwater, John Shirley McPherson of Southern Shores, NC and Nell Ray Stadelbauer of Troy. Proud aunt to five nephews and one niece. Joan proudly worked for Michigan Bell as a long distance operator for 44 years before retiring in 1999. The visitation will be Friday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The burial will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
