Beloved wife of the late Michael. Loving mother of Dana Derek Marranca, Katie fiancé Eric Hoyer and the late Michael. Proud grammie of Ben, Molly and Jamie. Sister of the late Jerry Payne and Dale Payne. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Mrs. Johnston was a crossing guard for Starr School for many years. She retired from the City of Royal Oak where she was employed in the printing department. She enjoyed the Beatles, gardening and always looked forward to each Dream Cruise. Visitation Tuesday 5-8 pm and funeral Wednesday 11 am at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak.
