Jerry Whittie

Jerry Wayne Whittie, age 68, a resident of Ferndale for the last 21 years, formerly of Mayville, MI from 1972-1989, died December 5, 2012 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born August 10, 1944 in Brookside, KY to the late Carl and Sonia Whittie. Mr. Whittie worked as a Hi-Lo driver and machinist for Curtis Processing in Troy for more than 26 years. He loved to hunt, camp, fish, dance and have fun! He was the beloved husband of Karen Zatsick; loving father of Roy Jan Stout, Wendy Hill and the late Tracy; brother of Darlene Mark Bell, Shirley Robert Laing, Luvonne Whittie, Johnny Whittie, Dennis Whittie, Robert Michelle Whittie, David Leann Whittie and the late Eddie Whittie, Marvin Whittie, Jack Whittie, Richard Whittie, Andrew Whittie, Oscar Whittie, Violet Whittie and Dempsey Whittie; proud grandfather of Ryan, Cory, Tracie, Cody, Patrick, Sharla and Cody; and great grandfather of Kayla, Cory Jr., Dalton, Cadin and Bryant. The visitation will be Friday 1 p.m. until the time of the service 7 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks.
