James Wyss

James L. Wyss, age 80, a resident of Royal Oak, died November 4, 2013 at his home. He was born August 24, 1933 in Garrett, IN to the late Clarence and Colette Wyss. Mr. Wyss was the owner of Olsen Manufacturing Company in Royal Oak. He also was a longtime member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower and the Love of God Prayer Group. In his spare time he was an avid golfer. He was the beloved husband of Joan, whom he married June 30, 1956 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Marine City; loving father of Christine Tom Spix, Jim Diane Wyss, Stephen Wyss, Mary Wyss and Vincent McCoy; dear brother of Joan Forbes, Frank Wyss and Charlotte Carey; proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The visitation will be Wednesday 3-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. scripture service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Wyss will lie in state Thursday 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 12 noon at the National Shrine of the Little Flower, Royal Oak.
