Ila Olmack

Ila M. Hunt Olmack, age 88, a 60-year resident of Hazel Park, passed away February 26, 2014. She was born December 3, 1925 in Minden City, MI. Mrs. Olmack graduated from Lincoln High School in Ferndale in January 1944. She retired from a part-time catering position after 21 years of service and then went on to be a self-employed cake decorator wedding cakes were her specialty. She simply enjoyed doing for others. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting, such as knitting and making Christmas ornaments. She was the beloved wife of the late Rudolph "Rudy"; loving mother of four sons, Randy, Ronald Terry, Daniel Jill and Donald Sandra; proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren; dear sister of Darlene Joseph Dershem; and also survived by nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kyle Olmack; brother, Oran Hunt; and sister, Janice Wallace. The visitation will be Friday 2-8 p.m. and service Saturday 2:30 p.m. at the Wm.
