Helen Browning

Helen Ethelda Browning, age 92, of Sterling Heights, passed away September 15, 2013. Beloved wife of W.B. "Bill" Browning for 67 years. Loving mother of Nancy Thomas Orlowsky, Cindy David Walsh, Charles Stacy Browning, and Cathy Scot Miller. Proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren and great-grandmother of six great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Douglas Dorothy Harvey. Helen was a life long resident of Utica and a life long member of Utica United Methodist Church. She was a 1939 graduate of Utica High School and she earned a bachelors degree in 1943 from Eastern Michigan University. Helen was a secretary of the Eastern Michigan University Alumni Association for many years. She loved playing golf, bridge, reading, writing, gardening, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved and treasured her family, all 32 of them. She loved family holidays, birthdays, and all our dinners in between. She enjoyed community service work and responding to the need of the elderly. Saturday, September 28th memorial visitation will be from 9:30 am until time of Memorial Service at 10:30 am at Utica United Methodist Church, 8650 Canal Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Utica United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, OR Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 27355 John R. Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
