Age 70, resident of Shelby Township.
Passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.
Born October 11, 1942 in Detroit, MI. to the late Harold and Eva Horton Hood.
Ken served his country in the United States Air Force and was Honorable discharged in January 1967.
Mr. Hood was employed as a reliability engineer with General Motors.and retired after 32 years. He was a "Good Dad and a Wonderful Grandpa". Ken was a jack of all trades, loved to tinker and repair all types of clocks. Ken loved to hunt, and was an active member of St Kieran Catholic Church. Beloved husband of Beverly Jean Provencher-Hood. Loving father of Kelly R. the late Mark Seaman, Kenneth Katy Hood, Kelly A. Mark Young, Keith M. Patty Provencher, Kimberly M. Stephen Insardi, Kris E. Tony Wynn, Kory J. Rona Provencher and Karlee S. Provencher. Proud Grandfather of Mitchell and Danielle Seaman, Rebecca, Martina, Mary Grace and Albert Provencher, Thomas Young, Austin Wynn, Angelo and Anthony Insardi and Zoie Provencher and his best friend, his dog, BabyDear Brother of Richard Arlene Hood and Marjorie Hinkle. Son-in-law of Elizabeth Sztyk and brother-in-law of Dennis Sztyk. Uncle of Bill and Tim and the late Tom Hinkle. He is predeceased by wife, Carol and thier daughter Tammy Lynn Hood. Family will receive friends at the Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks. E. of Van Dyke Utica, Monday 3:00 pm 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Ken will lie in state Tuesday 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Kieran Catholic Church 53600 Mound Rd., Shelby Township.
