SMSgt, Retired ANG Frederic John Conway, 76, of Madison Heights, passed away at 8:05 am on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Select Specialties Hospital Grosse Pointe of natural causes. He was born on September 3, 1937 in Wyandotte, to Francis and Martha Conway. He grew up in Taylor and graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School in 1955. He worked for the Michigan Air National Guard at Selfridge ANG Base and retired in 1992 as a SMSgnt Life-Support Technician for the 191st Fighter Interceptor Group after 38 years of service. Fred was an avid lover of trains, religious history, bright colored shirts, the outdoors, and Polka Music. Fred married Susan Greshaw in September 1962. They were happily married for 51 years. Fred was preceded in death by his wife Susan and is survived by his son Thomas Shelly, daughter Carolyn Jeremy, grandsons Seamus and Lachlan, grand-birds Skylar and Paulie, and grand-dogs Bowser and Tutti-Fruitti. Visitation will be held at Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd, Royal Oak, MI from 2-8 p.m, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 with a Scripture Service at 7p.m. Fred will lie Instate at 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 1087 E.
