Erik Stevens

Erik J. Stevens, age 40, a resident of Holly Township, formerly of Royal Oak, passed away September 21, 2014 at his home. He was born February 16, 1974 at Bi-County Hospital in Warren. Erik grew up in Royal Oak and attended Lockman Elementary School, Helen Keller Middle School, and Dondero High School. He enjoyed playing sports and was an avid outdoorsman, including hunting, camping, and fishing. He was a huge University of Michigan Wolverines fan - "Hail!" Erik also liked watching NASCAR and going bowling. Most of all, Erik enjoyed spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Denise "Dee", whom he married May 7, 1994 at Emerson Unitarian Church in Troy. Loving father of Rebecca "Becca". Dear son of Jim and the late Sheryl. Loved brother of Julie Roger Shuten. Erik is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Visitation Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, September 26, 2014 from 1-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak, MI 48067. A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
