Dick Nelson

Richard "Dick" Nelson, age 66, a resident of Waterford Township, passed away November 25, 2013 in Pontiac. He was born June 29, 1947 to the late Elmer and Shirley Nelson. Mr. Nelson and his daughter, Nicol, are the owners of Nelson Brothers Plumbing in Royal Oak est. 1925. Mr. Nelson was also an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed boating; however, his favorite times were spent with his children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of Dorothy for 43 years; loving father of Nicol Ron Nelson Mishko and Colette Nelson; proud grandfather of Vaughn Mishko and Brynn Mishko; dear brother of Kay Tom Kenny; and also survived by many other loving family members and friends. The visitation will be Friday 4-8 p.m. and service Saturday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Burial at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation are appreciated.
