Chuck Walter

November 26, 1928 — March 29, 2014

Chuck Walter, age 85, resident of Venice, FL, passed away March 29, 2014 in Royal Oak. Born November 26, 1928 in Pontiac to the late William and Catherine Walter. He and his late wife Maria, of Germany, lived in Lake Orion where they raised three daughters, Maria, Corena, and Rosemarie. Chuck was the brother to the late Bill and Jane Walter, Jack and Shirley Walter, Charlotte and the late John Kuzara, Patricia Walter and Norma Haynes, and Catherine and the late Patrick Scott. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a graphic artist for Detroit Edison where he retired in 1989. Chuck had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling the world. He also enjoyed gardening, biking, spending time at the beach, and making us laugh. He will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews and "Charlie's Angels" - Ann Marie Piwonski, Annie Waller, Cathy Teasdale, Debbie English, Donna Miela, Sue Treanor, and PC. Memorial gathering Wednesday 3-8:30 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. A luncheon will follow the service at the Royal Oak Elks Lodge, 2401 E. 4th Street, Royal Oak.
