Barbara Ferris

Barbara J. Ferris, age 88, a resident of Royal Oak since 1950, passed away June 9, 2014 at her home. She was born September 8, 1925 in Mapleton, Minnesota to the late David and Jeanie Will. Mrs. Ferris received her Bachelor's of Science degree in teaching from Mankato State College in Minnesota. Loving mother of David Amy, Timothy, Jon, Jill Rick Deak and Pamela. Dear sister of Joan Hohenstein. Proud grandmother of seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, son Michael and grandson Daniel. There will be a memorial visitation Sunday, June 22nd from 3-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak; and a memorial Mass Monday, June 23rd 9:30 a.m. visiting with 10 a.m. Mass at the National Shrine of the Little Flower Catholic Church in Royal Oak.
