Barbara Ann Beyerlein, age 86, a resident of Royal Oak since 1953, passed away January 3, 2014 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born March 12, 1927 in Manchester, MI to the late Erwin and Freda Weimer. Mrs. Beyerlein was a US cadet nurse during World War II from 1945 - 1948 and after graduation, pledged to be in the service until 1952. She was a registered nurse from William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She also was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak, where she was the parish nurse and belonged to the quilting club. She was the beloved wife of Irvin W. Beyerlein, the couple married April 28, 1951 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Loving mother of Sandra Rick Flynn, Cindy Roland Riparip, Jeff Ann Beyerlein, Robert Debbie Beyerlein and the late Sharon Beyerlein. Dear sister of Bill Julie Weimer. Proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The visitation will be Wednesday, January 8 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 9, In-state 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak.
